ABSTRACT
Background: Ethiopia is one of the world’s oldest countries, with a fascinating history herbal medicine. However, there lack evidence for regulatory framework medicines and its implementation. Thus, aim this study was to evaluate policy governing regulation implementation in Ethiopia. Methods Materials: An archival review, semi-structured interview key informants, cross-sectional involving traditional healers, an institution-based survey were conducted from June 15, 2020 December 25, 2020. The qualitative data transcribed using Microsoft Word 10, whereas quantitative recorded analyzed SPSS 20 computer statistical software. study’s findings are summarized descriptive statistics. In addition, multiple logistic regressions performed identify factors affecting medicine (HM) Variables p< 0.05 considered potential predictors. Results: According all has yet adopt distinct policies laws on that may provide independent framework. Similarly, majority respondents indicated no defined (n=52, 57.3%), (n=53, 59.6%), or registration systems (n=67, 75.3%) healers claimed they licensed by either Woreda Health Bureau (n=21, 95.5%) Regional (n=1, 4.5%) legally practise Besides, healer Ethiopian Food Drug Administration (EFDA) Ministry Health.
