ABSTRACT
Minor head trauma is due to the transfer of a mechanical energy brain caused by traumatic event. The present study was accomplished aiming investigate cleaved tau protein (CTP) as injury biomarker among patients with minor trauma. This observational performed on in 2017 who referred emergency department Imam Khomeini Hospital and Golestan Ahvaz, Iran. over age 16 years old trauma, had computed tomography (CT) scan at most 10 hrs after incident, consented participate study, were enrolled. C-tau evaluation enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method monoclonal antibodies detecting marker. Investigation 3 months conducted using post-concussion syndrome questionnaire (RPCS).In this 86 evaluated. CTP positive 14% results revealed that there significant relationship between (TBI) (p < 0.0001). sensitivity specificity of, respectively, 92% 100% intracranial trauma. In addition, negative predictive powers for marker 98%, respectively. In general, contrary previous studies, findings suggest levels can be strong high TBI.
