ABSTRACT
Disability in RA is associated with loss of workdays, greater use health resources and a higher prevalence depression. The purpose this study was to determine the functional disability factors it.A cross-sectional carried out during January-June 2019 at rheumatology clinic city Guayaquil. Patients pre-established were included. Functional measured using HAQ-DI. Data analyzed statistical program SPSS v22. We compared characteristics between patients without Student's t-test chi-square. A multiple logistic regression model for made.We included 395 patients, 87.8% female 12.2% male mean age 51.4±12 years duration disease 13.8±7 years. Most had extra-articular manifestations (80.8%) comorbidities (81.3%). HAQ-DI 0.8±0.9, 26.6%. found statistically significant relationship sex (p=0.018), (p=0.020), presence (p=0.008), myalgia (p<0.001) fatigue (p<0.001). In addition, disabilities lower employment rate (26.7%) those (45.5%, p=0.001). multivariate analysis, only depression (p=0.029), diabetes (p=0.003), SJC (p=0.001) VAS pain (p=0.004) significantly related disability.Disability affects quarter RA. Among determinants disability, we sex, older age, grade pain, inflammatory markers level activity.
