ABSTRACT
To evaluate the surgical outcome of dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) by measuring tear meniscus, using optical coherence tomography and rebamipide ophthalmic suspension.Patients with nasolacrimal obstruction chronic dacryocystitis who were scheduled for an endonasal DCR underwent meniscus examinations before 2 months after surgery. Vertical scans inferior menisci performed at 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 minutes instillation suspension. The areas measured imaging software. Ten young adults without epiphora formed control group.Anatomical success was achieved on 22 sides 21 patients. patients' postoperative significantly smaller than preoperative all points during test, response to volume loading in patients corrected nearly that young, healthy adults. Nevertheless, area tended be larger points. The reduced reflected procedure. However, incomplete recovery test might suggest a residual disorder lacrimal drainage system DCR.
