ABSTRACT
Introduction: Each year, ~50,000 patients worldwide die of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) because its highly metastatic properties. However, pathogenic mechanisms are still unclear, and in particular, the prediction metastasis remains elusive. This study aimed to define role microRNA-145 (miR-145) LSCC progression. We also elucidate clinical significance miR-145/MYO5A pathway, especially predictive function MYO5A neck lymph node metastasis. Materials methods: miR-145 expression was analyzed 132 with LSCC, associations between their clinicopathological features were evaluated. validated regulatory relationship miR-145b by dual luciferase reporter assay. The pathway proliferation, metastasis, apoptosis examined vitro. functions prognosis defined according patient follow-up. Results: Our results showed downregulation which negatively correlated suppression progression MiR-145 directly regulated vitro suppressed proliferation invasion while promoting inhibiting MYO5A. Conclusion: Notably, overexpression serum predicted cervical nodal occult poor prognosis, providing an effective indicator for predicting assessing prognosis.
