ABSTRACT
Introduction: Irisin is a newly identified cytokine that has gained increasing attention because of its potential therapeutic applications in metabolic diseases and human cancers. Recently, accumulating evidence indicates irisin plays an important role the development metastasis various tumors. The aim this study was to evaluate effects underlying mechanisms on malignant growth pancreatic cancer cells. Materials methods: anti-proliferative effect examined using CCK-8 assay. Irisin-induced apoptosis determined by annexin V-FITC/PI staining cell migration invasion were assessed scratch-induced wound healing assay transwell assay, respectively. expression phosphorylation signaling proteins detected Western blot analysis. Results: Our results showed inhibited proliferation induced cells dose-dependent manner. In addition, decreased Finally, analysis revealed downregulated PI3K/AKT pathway. Conclusion: findings suggest novel agent for cancer. Keywords: irisin, cancer, growth, migration,
