ABSTRACT
We aimed to investigate the expression of EGFR and autophagy-related markers Beclin1 LC3 in cervical cancer.Beclin1, LC3, were analyzed 80 samples squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), 40 high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), normal tissues by immunohistochemistry. The protein rates with χ (2) Fisher's exact tests. Differences overall survival (OS) determined using Kaplan-Meier method log-rank tests.Cervical cancer, CIN, epithelial cells expressed 26.2%, 77.5%, 82.5% patients, respectively, 28.8%, 70.0%, 75.0% respectively. There was a significant difference between SCC CIN or (P=0.000). Cervical cancer cells, 68.8%, 62.5%, 12.5% No association various clinicopathological parameters observed SCC. no correlation Beclin1, expression, 5-year OS patients. Beclin1- LC3-negativity EGFR-positivity associated higher Federation International Gynecology Obstetrics (FIGO) stage (P=0.011 P=0.013, respectively) pelvic lymph node metastasis (P=0.036 P=0.092, respectively). did not significantly differ LC3-positive -negative patients positive EGFR.Autophagy downregulated upregulated Autophagy downregulation combined upregulation promotes progression
