ABSTRACT
Clinical adoption of genomic medicine has lagged behind the pace scientific discovery. Practice-based resources can help overcome implementation challenges. In 2015, IGNITE (Implementing GeNomics In pracTicE) Network created an online resource toolbox that was expanded in 2017 to incorporate ability for users create targeted guides. This expansion led by a multidisciplinary team developed evidence-based, structured framework guides, oversaw technical process/build, and pilot tested first guide, CYP2C19-Clopidogrel Testing Implementation.Sixty-five were collected from 12 institutions categorized according seven-step Implementation Guide. Five months after its launch, 96 Guides had been created. Eighty percent most frequently selected fill identified gap. Resources often included guides test reimbursement (22%), support gathering EHR integration (17%), genetic testing workflow steps (17%).Lessons learned this guide development process provide insight prioritizing future value collaborative efforts implementation.
