ABSTRACT
The present study aims to analyze the heterogeneous trajectories of sleep disturbance (SD) among college students and examine whether self-control mediates association between Internet gaming disorder (IGD). A total 4352 were initially invited participate, 4191 (M age = 19.12, SD 0.98; 46.9% females) included as valid respondents at first time-point. This spanned six waves (from 2019 2022) with a six-month interval each wave. Sleep was measured from Time 1 4, 5, 6. Growth mixture modeling (GMM) applied identify latent classes over four waves. Mediation analysis conducted mediating role IGD. results growth modelling yielded four-class solution for disturbance: stable-low group, an increasing decreasing stable-high group. Additionally, mediation models showed that increased is associated higher likelihood individuals becoming more addicted games due decreased self-control. Conversely, improved quality may decrease engaging in via by promoting levels Future prevention intervention programs targeted improving possibility developing
