Clinical Knowledge, Perceptions, and Communication Confidence Regarding the Development of Thyroid Cancer ——A Cross-Sectional Study of Clinical Medical Students in Chongqing, Southwest China

ABSTRACT
Purpose: Medical students play an essential role in providing disease consultation for patients. Despite the rapid increase thyroid disease, there are few data on how well Chinese medical master knowledge of diseases. This study aims to evaluate clinical knowledge, perception, and communication confidence cancer (TC). Patients Methods: cross-sectional was carried out among Chongqing University. An anonymous, self-administered questionnaire distributed from December 2022 February 2023 included items demographics other information, warning signs cancer, perception regarding a person’s chance developing confidence. Descriptive analysis, difference correlation analysis were out. Results: A total 226 participated survey. Most (n=191, 84.5%) had heard TC, while only (n=10, 4.4%) regularly performed self-examination. One hundred eighty-four (81.4%) agreed that unexplained lump or swelling could be sign cancer. There significant differences relation gender (P< 0.001), major (P=0.026), (P=0.030).
