ABSTRACT
Introduction . Malnutrition of cancer patients is a big problem today. This especially evident in with tumors the gastrointestinal tract, where frequency this condition reaches high values. has direct negative impact on tolerability treatment, long-term results and quality life category patients, so it important to identify and, if possible, correct it. Aim To evaluate effect protein nutritional support blood counts, prolongation intervals between chemotherapy courses, postoperative complications, progression-free expectancy OS gastric after surgical treatment during adjuvant chemotherapy. Materials methods The study included 106 who received followed by according XELOX regimen. were divided into 2 groups: first group, additional nutrition (Nutridrink Compact Protein) both before chemotherapy; second did not receive – control group.
