ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze the impact of patients' nutritional status and changes in body composition on prognosis metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) patients who received systemic therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs).A total 57 mRCC TKIs as first-line at our facility between November 2004 October 2018 were included. The Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) was used evaluate their status. volumes skeletal muscle mass fat tissue calculated using SYNAPSE VINCENT system. effects progression-free survival (PFS) overall (OS) analyzed Cox regression methods.Low PNI start a significant prognostic predictor for OS (HR 3.807 [95% CI 1.205-12.027], P=0.046), it related loss three months after therapy. Although not associated OS, during treatment predicted worse OS.Nutritional may predict be prognosis. J. Med. Invest. 70 : 80-87, February, 2023.
