A BRIEF OVERVIEW ON SINGLE-ATOM CATALYSIS: CONCEPTS AND APPLICATIONS. Catalytic processes became extremely important for the development of our society, especially after second industrial revolution. Thus, research more efficient catalysts is an obstacle to overcome achieve cheaper processes, higher yields, and selectivity desired products. In this context, single-atom catalysis emerges as a promising alternative unite advantages traditional homogeneous heterogeneous catalysis. Catalysis by single-atoms bridge that unites in single catalyst ease recovery reuse (from catalysis) with high exposure uniformity sites catalysis). (SACs) alloys (SAAs) have already found several applications literature, such hydrogenation, oxidation, conversion biomass derivatives, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis.
