ABSTRACT
Vegetable oils have properties that are beneficial to the human skin, and so, they being used increasingly as ingredients of many cosmetic preparations; however, targets adulteration. This study will evaluate authenticity Brazilian cosmetics based on vegetable (sesame, peanut, sunflower, almonds) determine composition fatty acids by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) percentage in conjunction chemometric treatments (principal component analysis), lipid profiles using direct infusion electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-MS).The results obtained were compared respective pure oils.Of seven brands analyzed, three revealed authentic, found be adulterated addition large amounts soybean oil, one showed no oils. These demonstrate relevance quality control for oils, which more susceptible adulteration owing their higher cost when such soybean.
