ABSTRACT
Aim: Orbital trauma is considered one of the most commonmaxillofacial traumas with functional and cosmetic impactto eye globe. The main objective to establish a roadmap for management orbital floor fractures.Patients Methods: One hundred seventy-threepatients were selected from database Mansoura UniversityHospitals fractures who treatedat Department Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Departmentover past 4 years. Cases retrospectively reviewedby preoperative clinical findings, management, surgical approaches,and sequelae. Authors evaluated timing indicationof intervention, outcomes, complications,and materials used reconstruction.Results: In total, there (173) cases fractureswith average age (23.14) leading cause thesefractures was motor traffic accident (64.7%). Pure blow-outfractures represent 25% while inferiororbital rim alone 45% cases. Inferior rimassociated 30%. 57.2% patientswere managed surgically 42.8% patients managedconservatively. Conchal graft in 19 floorreconstruction 15 by titaniummesh. follow-up, 10 still complain enophthalmos,while 7 diplopia.Conclusions: Better postoperative results presentedin immediately or within two weeks surgically,A guideline choice effective protocol managementwas developed.
