ABSTRACT
Seven sunflower cytoplasmic male sterile (CMS lines) and three Rf-restorer (tester were used to obtain 21 F1 hybrids according line x tester mating design.All the hybrids, 7 lines, testers evaluated at Sakha Agricultural Research Station, Kafer El-Sheikh Governorate during 2017 season.The results showed highly significant differences among genotypes for all studied traits.The major role of dominant genes was found because degree dominance greater than unity.These indicated preponderance gene action feasibility hybrid development.A5 A9 CMS lines RF1 restorer proved best general combiners head diameter, seed yield plant -1 oil content.The cross combinations A5 Rf1 A7 Rf8 identified as per with SCA effects heterosis.Combining ability analysis that both genetic components, additive non-additive, important in expression investigated components variance non-additive component played main inheritance traits.Heritability broad sense (h 2 b) larger narrow n) traits.
