ABSTRACT
Essential oil (EO) nanoemulsion is a new approach to formulate and convey insecticides minimize some of the common shortcomings associated with conventional formulations synthetic also essential oils. The aim present was develop an oil-in-water (O/W) oils chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.), assess their lethal sublethal toxicity red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum (Hersbt). nanoemulsions EO were characterized by droplet sizes 341.4 387.1 nm for cumin, respectively. polydispersivity (PDI), viscosity (cP), zeta potential (mV) conductivity (mS/cm) characterized. exhibited higher beetle, besides compromising insect weight gain while impairing food consumption conversion rate in exposure. Cumin nanoemulstion sparked anti-feeding activity, reduced progeny production prevented grain loss indicating its stored product protection.
