ABSTRACT
Oral administration is widely accepted drug delivery system however, its use limited due to physico-chemical properties of the such as poor solubility, low permeability, instability, and rapid metabolism all which decrease oral bioavailability. The bioavailability most drugs still a major obstacle creates challenges for pharmaceutical manufacturers design with improved pharmacokinetics profile therapeutic responses. The fundamental problem over years has been develop techniques that will allow medications, regardless their properties, be administered orally in order attain systemic availability. Many have explored increase water solubility poorly water-soluble thus bioavailability.Cubosomes are novel lipid-based nano-system similar well-known vesicular systems liposomes niosomes.Cubosomes formulated presence suitable stabilizer using certain amphiphilic lipids (e.g., glyceryl monooleate phytantriol). They could represent containing hydrophilic, lipophilic, molecules. They used variety applications, including oral, ocular, transdermal, chemotherapy delivery. In this review, cubosomes, composition, methods preparation applications critically reviewed.
