ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT It is important to efficiently recover (oo)cysts in water during the established detection process, as Cryptosporidium and Giardia are known cause waterborne outbreaks. We investigated recovery of these based on pH HCl NaOH used immunomagnetic separation (IMS) step. Additionally, we evaluated efficiency heat dissociation a potential alternative acid IMS. The results showed that rates decreased final deviated from neutral. highest rates, exceeding 60%, were observed when 0.1 N 1 fell within range 0.9–1.0 13.0–13.1, respectively. had greater impact cysts than oocysts. Since absolute zeta lower oocysts, may be less stable more sensitive variations. comparable either was applied. Therefore, enhance environmental water, it essential regularly monitor reagent IMS Furthermore, application without considered an method.
