ABSTRACT
The removal of Acid Black 1 (AB1) and Basic Red 2 (BR2) from aqueous solutions via an electrocoagulation (EC)/Moringa oleifera seeds (MOS) adsorption coupling process by using aluminum stainless steel electrode in a batch reactor is described this study. influences the operational parameters, i.e. current density, MOS dosage, dye initial concentration, on degree color were studied, unit energy demand, material charge loading calculated discussed. amounts adsorbent consumption considered as main criteria evaluation, ideal conditions chosen. addition appropriate dosage (0.6 g/L for AB1 5 BR2) resulted faster decolorization dyes especially at lower densities was simultaneously accompanied significant reduction contact time compared to conventional simple EC process. achieved removals above 99.3% 94% BR2, respectively. EC/MOS technique could be recommended replace because its high removal, short time, low consumption.
