ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper combines environmental science, inorganic chemistry, water quality monitoring and other disciplines to analyze assess the heavy metals in bodies sediments of Fenghe River Basin (FRB) Shaanxi Province, reveal their sources. The Water Quality Index (WQI), Nemero (Pn), Geological Accumulation (I-geo) Potential Ecological Risk (RI) are used sediments. Pearson correlation analysis (CA), hierarchical cluster (HCA), principal component (PCA) positive matrix factorization (PMF) models study relationship source metals. results show that most residual below corresponding standards for surface water. Most sediment exceed background value soil. factors or sources revealed detail through PMF models. main pollution region urban construction transportation, electronics industry, machinery manufacturing tourism. In water, average contribution rates these four were 36.8%, 11.7%, 9.4% 42.0%, 8.0%, 29.2%, 23.9% 38.9%. Therefore, sectors should be given sufficient attention.
