ABSTRACT
Advances in imaging technology the past decades have allowed profound insights into human brain function and anatomy for normal pathological conditions. Population-based probabilistic atlases (probabilistic map) structural functional of been developed using MRI, SPECT, cytoarchitectonic data provide a standard framework analysis. For example, automated delineation volume interest (VOI) maps individual structures predefined on templates provides an efficient way objective assessment image intensity underlying physiologies reflected by that intensity. This review will focus development population-based application studies proving utility basic neuroscience clinical disorders.
