ABSTRACT
Despite the drive towards evidence-based practice, extent to which research evidence is being implemented in nursing practice unclear, particularly developing countries. This study was assess levels of perceived barriers and facilitators utilization among Chinese nurses inter-relationships between these their socio-demographiccharacteristics. A cross-sectional, descriptive survey conducted 2011 with 743 registered randomly selected from four general hospitals China. They completed Barriers Research Utilization Facilitators scales. Correlation tests were used test relationships nurses’ facilitators, demographic characteristics training involvement. The level moderate on average lower than that previous research. Among 10 top-ranked items, six subscale ‘Organizational Characteristics’. Their correlated positively age post-registration experience negatively undertaken. Junior diplomatic reported a significantly higher degree those senior ones postgraduate education. Higher more diverse are by Western countries they associated few socio-demographicfactors. Future barriers/facilitators occupational socio-cultural factors other Asian recommended.
