In 1998, the Guidelines Committee on Management of Severe Head Injury was established by Japan Society Neurotraumatology, and performed a critical review national international studies published over past 10 years. The guidelines were first in 2000 based results this literature consensus, 2nd revised edition 2006. This English version is intended to promote its concepts use worldwide.
