ABSTRACT
Aim of study: A double blind randomized, placebo-controlled trial was planned to evaluate the Clinical efficacy Draksha Samangadi Kashaya Ghan Vati an Ayurveda multi-dimensional herb preparation in Adolescents suffering with Psychological Distress. The drug contains Draksha, Samanga, Gavakshi, Trayamana, Yashtimadhu, Chandana, Maricha, Pippali, Shunthi. All ingredients study possess anti-stress, anti-depression, anti-anxiety, nootropic and anti-oxidant properties. Materials Methods: total 40 patients complected trial, including male female patients, were studied for Distress registered divided into 2 groups (Group A, B,). In group administered Vati, dose 500 mg/day twice a day months children from B, Placebo - Chocolate Coated Starch Tablets 20 at mg/day. treated cases assessed each follow-up on 14th day, 28th 42nd 56th post-follow-up done after 1 month. drugs clinically also based Depression, anxiety stress scale (DASS 42). Result: Group consistently shows significant improvements across all three psychological conditions (Depression, Anxiety, Stress) compared B. Conclusion: Smangadi (Chocolate Coated) is effective management Adolescents.
