ABSTRACT
Type 2 diabetes mellitus’s (DM) patients often receive polypharmacy therapy to prevent complications, but this have potential Drug Related Problems (DRPs). This study aims determine the profile of incidence DRPs in type DM patients, especially Outpatient Installation Government B Hospital West Nusa Tenggara 2018. research was conducted with a cross-sectional design using secondary data sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Respondents involved were complete medical record and no comorbid cancer or HIV/AIDS pregnant. Thus, number respondents 112 patients. The that has been obtained then classified into problems causes based on Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe Foundation Version 8.03. results showed 80 experienced total 224 DRPs. pattern antidiabetic use NTB 2018 dominated by Biguanide group, Metformin (33.85%), followed Insulin (29.75%), Sulfonylureas (28.21%). Aspart (13.33%), while Glimepirid (25.13%). occurred sequentially category adverse drug effects might occur (66.52%), drugs without indications (15.63%), not appropriate according guidelines/formularies (7.14%), symptoms treated (4 .91%), frequency dose insufficient (1.79%), too frequent low (1.34%), many prescribed for (0.45 %), is high (0.45%).
