ABSTRACT
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1) influences the self-perception of adolescents, their behaviour, and integration into social environment. The practice Nursing Specialists in Children Pediatric Health promotes adaptation to disease. aim current study was reflect on interventions these specialist nurses with adolescents DM1 families. We performed an integrative literature review about impact relevance Specialist Nurses providing care nurse's intervention must contemplate adolescent macrosystem. Since diagnosis, it is crucial that nurse recognizes adolescent's difficulties, combining technical constant emotional support. enables family manage feelings, adjust therapeutic regimen integrate new routines daily lives.
