ABSTRACT
The growing use of Autonomous Agents (AAs) in both private and public sectors raises crucial questions about trust. As AI systems take on increasingly complex tasks decisions, their interactions with human agents (HAs) raise the relevance applicability traditional philosophical concepts trust trustworthiness (sections 1 2). In this paper, I will explore nuances AAs, arguing against complete dismissal as misplaced (section 4) application “genuine” frameworks 5). My aim is to lay groundwork for understanding that moral complexity AAs goes beyond mere reliance we place inanimate objects 6).
