TIPOLOGI GRAMATIKAL DAN SISTEM PIVOT BAHASA PAKPAK-DAIRI

This study aims to describe the grammatical typology and pivot system of Pakpak-Dairi language (PDL). The data were analyzed using distribution method with substitution transformation techniques. testing was carried out on coordinate subordinate constructions, adverbial clauses, non-finite verbal clauses. findings show that grammatically PDL belongs accusative typology.The shows deletion a nominal phrase in can be directly made if it functions as subject or adverbial. If predicate, cannot made; one clauses must passive topicalized first. Based such pattern, concluded pattern S/A.
