RISKY BEHAVIOURS AMONG DELIVERY RIDERS AT SIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS IN MALAYSIA

ABSTRACT
The increasing number of food delivery riders, known as P-hailing has increased the traffic crashes involving this group. high demand for online orders and time constraints causes riders to engage in risky riding behaviours during delivery. Thus, there is a need study alarming problem before it becomes more serious. This aims determine factors influencing among at signalized intersections. A roadside observation was conducted month October 2022 Subang Jaya, Selangor. total 19,803 were observed four days observations two T- cross-signalized bivariate analysis (logistic regression) applied relationship between seven (unfastened helmet, not wearing shoes, incomplete set side mirrors, red light running, mobile phone use, stopping after stop lines, abrupt lane change) with five explanatory variables including day week, day, weather condition, type intersection approach road. result shows that use likely occur weekend. Clear increases such using phone, changes. findings are useful input related authorities developing programs decrease riders.
