ABSTRACT
Glycoprotein 96 (gp96) is a member of the heat shock protein 90 family, which an ubiquitous family molecular chaperones that are involved in regulation folding and other essential cellular activities. Residing lumen endoplasmic reticulum, gp96 plays key role maintaining homeostasis, from assemblage to degradation. However, exposure stressful conditions disturb homeostasis may translocate cell surface, implies its additional functions, such as intracellular signalling, proliferation, apoptosis, well modulation immune response. Besides roles under physiological conditions, also included different stages oncogenesis. In this review, we summarised available data on structure, physiological, pathophysiological gp96, particularly breast cancer
