ABSTRACT
This article reviews the literature on parental bereavement over family life course drawing attention to meaning of loss. The conceptual framework for this arises from intersection Klass and Marwit's [1] theory development as proposed by Aldous [2] others. review is organized according a series factors, Rando [3] others, thought influence grief experience: untimeliness death; nature quality lost relationship; role deceased played; characteristics and, social support system. developmental perspective in understanding recognition issues involved losses at different stages discussed relation each factor strategies future research are offered.
