Implementation Strategies for Web-Based Apps for Screening: Scoping Review

Screening is an effective primary prevention strategy in health care, as it enables the early detection of diseases. However, uptake such screening remains low. Different delivery methods for have been developed and found to be increasing screening, including use web-based apps. Studies shown that apps are among general population. not much known about implementation real-world setting. Implementation strategies theory-based or techniques used enhance adoption, implementation, sustainability evidence-based interventions. important, they allow us understand how implement intervention. Therefore, a scoping review identify various warranted.This aims (1) (2) frameworks implementing (3) outcome measures strategies, (4) strategies.This was conducted based on Arksey O'Malley's framework. After identifying question, two researchers independently screened selected relevant literature from PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, PsycINFO, International Standard Randomised Controlled Trial Number Registry, OpenGrey, ClinicalTrials.gov, World Organization Clinical Trials Registry Platform, Web Science. This followed by charting data using standardized form. Finally, we collated, summarized, reported results quantitatively qualitatively objectives.A total 16,476 studies were retrieved, which 5669 duplicates. From 10,807 studies, 10,784 excluded their titles abstracts. There 23 full-text articles reviewed, 4 included final analysis. Many because focused effectiveness Facilitation most cited used, reminders, clinical champions, educational meetings materials. Only 2 guide evaluation studies. Common feasibility, fidelity, penetration. quality improvement meetings, facilitation, champions.There dearth screening. without any theories More research development app implementations needed.
