“I Like the Idea of It…But Probably Wouldn’t Use It” - Health Care Provider Perspectives on Heart Failure mHealth: Qualitative Study

ABSTRACT
Many mobile health (mHealth) technologies exist for patients with heart failure (HF). However, HF mhealth lacks evidence of efficacy, caregiver involvement, and clinically useful real-time data.We aim to capture care providers' perceived value mHealth, particularly pairing patient-caregiver-generated data clinical intervention inform the design future mHealth.This study is a subanalysis larger qualitative based on interviewing HF, their caregivers, providers. This analysis included interviews providers (N=20), focusing usefulness mHealth tools interventions.A total 5 themes emerged: (1) bio-psychosocial-spiritual monitoring, (2) use sensors, (3) interoperability, (4) sharing, (5) patient-reported outcomes in practice. Providers remain interested caregivers. report being unconvinced robust outcomes.The assessments, collection could provide patient care.
