ABSTRACT
Background Despite extensive debates about the mental health impacts of use social networking sites (SNSs), including WeChat, association and mechanisms between interaction WeChat intensity antenatal depression are unclear. Objective We aimed to test mediating roles upward comparison on rumination in depression. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted four hospitals with self-reported measures intensity, rumination, depression, control variables. The mediation analysis performed through Model 6 from PROCESS macro 4.0 SPSS 26. Results 2661 participants showed that unrelated (P=.54), but significantly positively related attitude toward (P=.01). direct effect not statistically significant (β=–.03, P=.05). results supported an indirect relationship via (1) (indirect value=0.04, 95% CI 0.03 0.06); (2) value=–0.02, –0.04 –0.01); (3) sequence value=0.07, 0.06 0.08).
