<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Vietnam's 2045 development plan requires thorough reforms in science and technology (S&amp;T), which underlines the role of research-oriented universities generating transforming knowledge. Understanding current research performance productivity is important to exploit future agendas. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> This paper aimed explore growth patterns collaborations scientific publication Vietnam. <title>METHODS</title> Data on documents Web Science Core Collection database were searched extracted examine Publication both quantity quality examined. The evolution disciplines collaboration networks also analyzed. <title>RESULTS</title> A total 62,752 8,354 different sources from 1966 2020 found.
