Telehealth Education in Allied Health Care and Nursing: Web-Based Cross-Sectional Survey of Student’s Perceived Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, and Experience (Preprint)

ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the growing relevance of telehealth in health care. Assessing care and nursing students’ competencies is crucial for its successful integration into education practice. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> We aimed to assess perceived knowledge, skills, attitudes, experiences. In addition, we examine preferences content teaching methods within their curricula. <title>METHODS</title> conducted a cross-sectional web-based study May 2022. A project-specific questionnaire, developed refined through iterative feedback face-validity testing, addressed topics such as demographics, personal perceptions, professional experience with solicited input on potential course content. Statistical analyses were surveys at least 50% completion rate, including descriptive statistics categorical variables, graphical representation results, Kruskal Wallis tests central tendencies subgroup analyses. <title>RESULTS</title> total 261 students from 7 bachelor’s 4 master’s programs participated study. Most expressed interest (180/261, 69% very or rather interested) recognized importance (215/261, 82.4% important). However, most participants reported limited knowledge applications concerning profession (only 7/261, 2.7% stated profound knowledge) active various (between 18/261, 6.9% 63/261, 24.1%). Statistically significant differences found between regarding (&lt;i&gt;P&lt;/i&gt;=.005), (&lt;i&gt;P&lt;/i&gt;&amp;lt;.001), after (&lt;i&gt;P&lt;/i&gt;=.004). Practical training devices, software, apps case examples patient groups important future preferred both interdisciplinary program-specific courses. <title>CONCLUSIONS</title> This emphasizes need integrate curricula, state positive attitudes but seem be not adequately prepared implementation.
