ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Using social media is among the most common activity of adults and older people. Social provides people a new way to communicate with their friends, children, grandchildren; receive provide support; have access knowledge entertainment. However, does use led changes in cognitive function are not well understood currently. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> This study aimed systematically review what association between adults. <title>METHODS</title> PubMed, Web Science, Embase, PsycINFO, Google Scholar, CNKI, Wang Fang, CBM were searched from inception until October 31, 2023. The inclusion criteria that had be published peer-reviewed journals written English Chinese, full-text availability, target general aged 55 years or older, assessed any kinds exposure function. In total, two researchers independently collaboratively eligibility retrieved articles elicited relevant data findings using tables charts. <title>RESULTS</title> A total 7 studies included: 3 experimental 4 cross-sectional (6 papers 1 Chinese paper). SQAC checklist ranged 0.45 0.71. Of included studies, five medium quality, low quality. Among three one showed there was no significant improvement for treatment groups (social intervention) versus control groups; another found beneficial effects intervention on aspects function, although effect disappeared at follow-up study.
