ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Traditionally, treatment outcomes in patients with a substance use disorder (SUD) are measured using objective and provider-reported indicators. Recently, there has been shift towards incorporating Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Experience (PREMs) to capture service users' perspectives on experiences. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> The OMER-BE study (Outcome Measurement Evaluation as Routine practice alcohol other drug services Belgium) aims assess the acceptability feasibility of PROMs PREMs different SUD services, recently developed ICHOM Standard Set for Addictions. In this paper, we describe design baseline characteristics study. <title>METHODS</title> A convenience sample 189 seeking individuals from inpatient (therapeutic communities, psychiatric centers) outpatient is followed 6-months. Clinical factors, sociodemographic assessed at baseline, within 3 weeks after starting treatment. Additionally, 45, 90 180 days later. <title>RESULTS</title> Baseline differences observed between three modalities regarding education, history, primary ADHD self-report scores. Overall, PC higher educated have less polysubstance use, while outpatients fewer previous treatments but receive relatively more often opioid agonist Inpatients report symptoms severity than outpatients. recovery strength scores found be significantly lower group compared groups, particularly subdomains ‘Substance Use,’ ‘Self-care,’ ‘Outlook Life’. <title>CONCLUSIONS</title> Measuring appears feasible diverse Belgium. monitoring these measures can empower patients, providers policymakers by providing comprehensive understanding users’ needs effectiveness.
