Digital registry-based solution for screening and management of fatigue and cognitive problems in multiple sclerosis (Preprint)

ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Digital patient registries are actively used in the monitoring of long-term diseases. The potential management symptoms is underutilized. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> present paper reports Finnish registry-based procedure to screen and manage cognitive fatigue multiple sclerosis (MS). data collected during first two years presented. <title>METHODS</title> Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT), Multiple Sclerosis Neuropsychological Questionnaire (MSNQ), Fatigue Scale for Motor Cognitive Functions (FSMC) were implemented into MS registry related cognition fatigue. For self-management purposes, feedback based on results MSNQ FSMC created. To assess patient-perceived disease severity, disability, quality life (QoL), Patient-Reported Expanded Disability Status (PREDSS), Visual Analogue Scales (VAS), Euro Quality Life – 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) registry. <title>RESULTS</title> At end 2020, concerns together with self-assessment status, symptoms, QoL annually was introduced. By beginning 2023, 134 patients have been assessed SDMT. 329 filled out 172 at least once received corresponding reports. mean SDMT score 49.6, 35.3, total 63.0, sub-score motor 31.6 31.5, respectively. <title>CONCLUSIONS</title> offers a digital platform systematic screening problems MS. Patient should be better recognized as e-Health solutions.
