<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Ecological momentary interventions (EMIs) offer a promising strategy for targeting putative mechanisms of mental health problems by delivering real-time, tailored intervention components that adapt to person, moment, and context based on data collected using ecological assessment (EMA). However, most research date focuses effects distal outcomes, at the person level, whereas explorations processes micro-level, i.e., proximal EMI remains very limited. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> This study aimed explore completing outcomes (i.e., negative affect, stress, stress reactivity) subsequent EMA among youth with early problems. <title>METHODS</title> EMIcompass is novel, transdiagnostic, compassion-focused prevention severe conditions in help-seeking youth. Data were derived from experimental condition exploratory randomized controlled trial, which aged 14-25 randomly allocated + TAU (experimental condition) or only (control condition). <title>RESULTS</title> We found some evidence interactive task completion greater reductions reactivity small subsample n=37 participants. The effect sizes within-subject affect (β = 0.13, z =1.36, 95% CI −0.06 0.31, d 0.14, 0.19, 1.44, −0.07 0.44, 0.14), 0.15, 1.15, -0.11 – 0.42, 0.12) moderate but CIs included zero.
