ABSTRACT
Purpose: To compare the holmium-laser puncture and electrosurgery-incision in neonates with intravesical ureterocele. Materials Methods: We retrospectively analyzed results of laser-puncture ureterocele (LP group) 12 patients (mean age 9.8 days, range 4-28) 20 (ES 10.2 6-28), treated at our institution. Patients had their records reviewed for preoperative findings, endoscopic procedure description, postoperative outcomes. Results: There was need retreatment one (8.3%) patient LP group four (20%) ES (P = .626). Duration general anesthesia groups 16 (range, 10-24) minutes 15 10-20) minutes, respectively .355). no statistically significant difference terms hospitalization (LF day, 1.35 days) .286). Complications were not found group. two (10%) pyelonephritis after treatment .516). After month, obstruction observed on ultarsound examination patients, respectively. three months, any both groups. six vesicoureteral reflux 13 (65%) .003). Conclusion: Both techniques are highly effective relieving obstruction. is regarding hospitalization, occurrence complications. The incidence de novo significantly lower holmium-laser, as well upper pole partial nephrectomy.
