ABSTRACT
In this study, the mechanisms associated with seismic response of a long-period structure when subjected to excitation are clarified. A typical scale cable-stayed bridge prestressed concrete girders (PC bridge) was selected for analysis. First, we simulated components ground motion at site Ji-Lu Bridge, which damaged in 1999 Chi-Chi, Taiwan earthquake, and damage assessed by nonlinear analysis using excitations. Second, shaking table tests model PC were carried out, consideration similarity law, clarify involved, focusing on linear responses tower cables.
