Effects of propolis supplementation during cryopreservation of ram semen.

ABSTRACT
Cryopreservation of ram semen is a very challenging process. Loss motility during freezing does not allow artificial insemination rams. This study aimed to determine whether the inclusion liquid propolis extract in diluents affects cryopreservation efficiency semen. Six Akkaraman breed rams were considered for study. Semens combined with Tris+egg yolk extender containing and without (control) at different concentrations (0.25%, 0.50%, 1%, 2%, 4%). Semen was frozen using routine procedures. After thawing, kinematic parameters analyzed by computer assisted analysis (CASA), viability, acrosomal damage level mitochondrial membrane potential flow-cytometer all groups. Additionally, fatty acid levels total gas chromatography (GC), vitamin cholesterol high-performance (HPLC). In addition, oxidative stress, HOS test, morphological analyzes performed after thawing.
