ABSTRACT
A malpositioned endotracheal tube is a potential hazard to the intubated patient. Ideally, tip should be 5+/-2 cm from carina when head and neck are in neutral position. In 92 of 100 patients studied, overlay T5, T6, or T7 on portable radiographs. Therefore, even not visible, it can assumed that positioned at level T3 T4 safe. The degree flexion extension time radiography may determined by evaluating position mandible relative vertebral bodies.
