ABSTRACT
In citizen social science, citizens actively engage in research to investigate and solve challenges from their lifeworlds. As these interests are guiding the process, we suggest employing a co-evaluation approach as form of participatory evaluation that initiates conversation on expectations impact with diverse actors involved onset. European funded project CoAct, global concerns such youth employment, mental healthcare environmental justice addressed by three local teams consisting affected groups, thematic political stakeholders, multidisciplinary academic researchers. The implement concrete actions strategies tackle challenges. this contribution reflect first insights cases applying qualitative content analysis across different formats, focusing primarily specific outcomes science co-evaluation. While nature issues at stake distinct socio-cultural contexts which they embedded clearly mark boundaries comparability, overall, shift roles ownership is observable. Identifiable intermediate e.g. an increase awareness, knowledge, skills amongst long-term expected empowerment, self-determination quality life concerned participants, lead implementation new measures regulations policy level.
