Study on the Effects of Educational Intervention Programs for Improving Basic Academic Skills of vulnerable elementary school students: Focus on Weekly Participation Frequency and Grade

ABSTRACT
Objectives This study aimed to analyze the variations in impact of an educational intervention program de-signed enhance basic academic skills among vulnerable elementary school students. The analysis considered factors such as weekly participation frequency and grade. primary goal was gather evidence for assessing performance enhancing program, ultimately improving outcomes. Methods Using BASA test results (reading, writing, mathematics) 173 students who participated at City Dream Start Center A Gyeonggi Province from 2016 2022, we conducted a pre-post difference (t-test), covariance based on (1 2 sessions), Analysis Covariance(ANCOVA) grade level (1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th 5th-6th grade). Results Children showed following results: Firstly, frequency, higher effects were observed reading mathematics when participating twice week compared once week. Secondly, level, 3rd-4th, 5th- 6th grades 1st-2nd grades, while grades. However, there no significant differences writing level. Conclusions According these findings, programs one-on-one basis need consider individualized tailored lessons. Therefore, it is necessary differentiate between short-term intensive interventions long-term systematic interventions, considering students' weak subjects levels. Also, development diagnostic methods restructuring curriculum are required
