ABSTRACT
We investigate the crustal architecture and structural domains of Campos rifted margin in southeastern Brazil, focusing on rifting evolution segmentation. Based 2-D 3-D seismic reflection interpretation potential field modelling, our results reveal an along-strike variability, terms magmatism, that segments basin into three main sectors from south to north. Through analysis profiles, we interpret this lateral variability as a product lower- upper-plate alternations different magmatic inputs. propose Southern represent lower-plate tectonic setting, where distal domain is characterized by formation here named Gávea Supradetachment Basin associated with development metamorphic core-complex. The Central massive residual block, representing exhumation levels domain. Our suggests sustained high input throughout rift evolution, supporting Seaward Dipping Reflectors crust transitional Northern also represents but progressively delaminated crust. Finally, compare Brazilian conjugate Angola margin, discuss role transfer zones segmentation variations volume magmatism.
