ABSTRACT
Trends in higher education pedagogy increasingly point to the importance of transformational experiences as capstone liberal arts education. Practitioners ethnography, quintessential experience social sciences, are well-positioned take lead designing courses and term projects that afford undergraduate students opportunities fundamentally reshape their understanding world own involvement within it. Furthermore, United States, colleges universities have become proponents service learning a critical component holistic educational experience. In this article, we describe how can be incorporated into training ethnographic field methods means give them skills they use beyond classroom longer trajectory civic participation.
