ABSTRACT
The characteristics of cervical spondylolisthesis are not currently fully understood, because the shortage reports covering large population patients with spondylolisthesis. purpose this study was to elucidate by examining a relatively number cases. We analyzed 101 cases more than 2 mm vertebral listhesis as determined from X-ray or computed tomography (CT) images among 731 who underwent surgery at single institute. We considered C2-7 angle, range motion, and sagittal vertical axis on lateral images. From CT images, classifications into five grades based slipped disc adjacent caudal levels were made. examined orientation facet joints level using axial images.Spondylolisthesis recognized in 124 levels. Anterior posterior detected 68 40 cases, respectively. developed predominantly C3 C4, usually narrowed disc, C7, stiffened thoracic spine. height preserved anterior level. Posterior significantly associated advanced intervertebral osteoarthritis. At segment lower spine, direction joint plane tended be posteromedial.Cervical degenerative classified two types. first common occurred levels, slippage type. second less within progressively degenerated segments, prominent. have uniquely described morphological changes transverse plane.
